The highest levels of protection are required in offshore applications. One vital aspect for any water-bound project is to use a very high zinc content primer on perfectly white sandblasted steel. With this system, the metal is protected by a cathodic coating where the zinc will actually sacrifice itself to prevent rust and corrosion.
